GIVING BACK - It’s part of who we are
“It has been proven that investments in education contribute to economic growth, as well as social and political well-being. We believe photography and other visual arts are a crucial element of a society’s identity.”
Dick Evans - Co-founder, In Transit Images
Our passion for photography fuels our belief that we have a responsibility to give back by supporting the arts and education. Today, half of In Transit Images’ profits are channelled into these two fields. Here are few of our philanthropic initiatives.

In 2010, the co-founder of In Transit Images, Dick Evans, and his wife Gretchen established the Dick and Gretchen Evans Fellowship for Photography at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Committed over a three-year period, this $51,000 Fellowship provides three $17,000 scholarships to outstanding photography students in the final year of their graduate program.
“The Fellowship is a tangible example of our commitment to education and the arts. We’re not only investing in a university and its promising students but endeavouring to make a positive impact on artists, the local economy and the wider community.”

The Dick and Gretchen Evans Fellowship for Photography is managed through the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University, one of Canada’s foremost centres for fine arts innovation and research.
“Dick and Gretchen Evans’s support is a strong vote of confidence in both our photography students and Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Their contribution underscores their conviction in the calibre of our students and strengthens Concordia’s ability to attract world-class artists and scholars.”
